The Paediatric & Child Health Association (PACHA), in collaboration with the Else Kröner-Fresenius Stiftung (EKFS), the Ministry of Health (MoH), Friede-Springer -endowed Professorship for Global Child Health at Witten/Herdecke University and Kamuzu University of Health Sciences (KUHeS) proudly announced the launch of the Else Kröner Global Child Health Center On March 24, 2025.
The newly established center has secured funding from March 2026 through December 2031. Its primary objective is to improve child health outcomes across Malawi and belyond while strengthening the capacity of healthcare professionals to deliver high-quality paediatric care.
Speaking at the launch, representatives from PACHA and partner institutions emphasized the importance of this initiative in addressing pressing child health challenges. By combining international expertise with local leadership, the center aims to create sustainable improvements in paediatric healthcare and ensure that children receive the care they deserve.
This milestone reflects a shared commitment to advancing global child health and building resilient healthcare systems for future generations.
