In April, we joined the Hospital Partnerships and Else Kröner-Fresenius-Stiftung (EKFS) Partnership Conference in Lilongwe. Project representatives Prof Yamikani Chimalizeni, Dr Emmie Mbale, PD Dr Carsten Krüger, Prof Ralf Weigel, and Megumi Nagase delivered a poster presentation outlining the project’s background and current progress.
The presentation caught strong interest among participants from Malawi and Germany who are involved in a range of health initiatives across the country.
The conference brought together projects funded through the Hospital Partnerships programme (GIZ) and the Else Kröner-Fresenius-Stiftung (EKFS), providing a platform to exchange ideas, strengthen collaboration, and promote future networking. The programme also included a site visit to Kamuzu Central Hospital.
