We successfully established the Else Kröner Malawi Child Health Center within the Paediatrics and Child Health Association (PACHA), marking an important milestone for the project. In April 2022, PACHA and Witten/Herdecke University formally signed a collaboration agreement after unanimously agreeing on the terms and conditions.
During the first half of 2022, the core project team was recruited. The team now includes key administrative, financial, monitoring and coordination staff, with all positions filled by August 2022.
Office space was also secured and equipped to support effective project implementation. Essential equipment and logistical resources were procured to ensure smooth programme management, data collection, and coordination activities, including support for site visits to hospitals and health centres across the country.
These foundational steps have strengthened institutional capacity at PACHA and created a solid base for the successful implementation of project activities nationwide.
